IOSG Founding Partner Jocy Predicts 2025 as 'Darkest Crypto Year' Amid Institutional Dawn, Targets $150,000 BTC by Mid-2026

Jocy said on December 21 that 2025 may be crypto’s toughest year but also mark the start of its institutional era. He noted institutions now hold 24% of Bitcoin while retail participation has fallen 66%, despite BTC briefly hitting $126,080 before a 5.4% year-end drop. Jocy said $25 billion in ETF inflows signal institutional accumulation and projected BTC to trade between $87,000 and $95,000 in the next three to six months, with a target of $120,000–$150,000 by H1 2026 driven by policy support and institutional demand.
