XRP Trading Volume Slides 52% as Price Retreats From $2 Mark and XRPL Fixes Near Activation

In the last 24 hours, XRP trading volume dropped 52% to $1.06 billion and the price slipped 1.15% to $1.81 while broader crypto markets showed weakness. XRP has fallen 7.82% over the past week and has been trading below the $2 level and its daily MA 50 since Jan. 19, with bulls eyeing a recovery toward $2.18 and $2.41. Five fix amendments bundled in XRPL version 3.0.0 are scheduled for activation on the XRP Ledger mainnet with a potential date of Tuesday, Jan. 27, covering areas such as AMM behavior, token escrows, clawback and price oracle handling.
