Strategy Adds 1,287 BTC on January 5, 2026 and Lifts USD Reserve to $2.25 Billion

On January 5, 2026, Michael Saylor said NASDAQ-listed Strategy made its first 2026 bitcoin purchase of 1,287 BTC, taking its reserve to 673,783 BTC. He also noted a $62 million increase in USD reserves to $2.25 billion. Separately, Walter Bloomberg reported a $17.44 billion Q4 2025 unrealized loss and a near-70% share decline since the 2024 peak.
