Ripple Engineer Warns XRPL Users to Test Amendments Before Major 2026 Ledger Upgrades

Ripple engineer Mayukha Vadari has reminded XRP Ledger users on January 30, 2026, to thoroughly test any upcoming amendments their projects depend on, especially those already live on Devnet. In early 2026, XRPL is rolling out multiple fixes and new features, including Token Escrow, permissioned domains, Single Asset Vaults and a Lending Protocol, many of which are now in voting or activation countdown. These changes use the amendment system, where validators vote on transaction-processing updates that can only be reversed through new amendments.
