OCC keeps reviewing World Liberty Financial bank charter after Warren's request to delay

On January 23, Comptroller of the Currency Jonathan Gould confirmed that the OCC will keep assessing World Liberty Financial's application for a national trust bank charter filed on January 7, despite Senator Elizabeth Warren's call to pause the process. Warren has questioned Donald Trump and his family's roles as WLF co-founders and the large unrealized wealth linked to the USD1 stablecoin, while the OCC has recently granted conditional trust bank approvals to several major crypto firms.
