Jamie Dimon says JPMorgan will oppose CLARITY Act stablecoin provisions

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said the bank and other lenders plan to challenge parts of the proposed CLARITY Act that would govern stablecoins in the United States. He argued that if stablecoin issuers effectively operate like deposit or payment platforms, they should meet bank-level requirements on liquidity, capital, AML/KYC, reporting, and consumer protection.
