Ethereum slips near $1,740 as whales fall below $1,900 cost basis and liquidations loom
Ethereum (ETH) has weakened to around $1,740, sitting below an estimated whale realized price near $1,900 and under the Binance listing AVWAP around $1,700. After ETH dropped below $1,550, over 21,540 ETH (about $34.1 million) was liquidated, while roughly $547 million in leveraged positions on Aave and Maker remains at risk. Buyers have been active near $1,550-$1,600, but ongoing whale selling and liquidation-driven supply continue to cap recovery attempts.
