ETH Slips Under $2,000 as Standard Chartered Maintains $40,000 Target for 2030

Ethereum fell below the $2,000 level over the past 48 hours as broader crypto markets weakened. Despite the drop, Standard Chartered's digital assets research head Geoff Kendrick reiterated the bank's long-term targets, including $4,000 by end-2026 and $40,000 by end-2030. He pointed to stablecoin and tokenized-asset activity on Ethereum as key metrics that the bank says continue to improve even while price lags.
