Coinbase launches Agentic Wallets as 13,000 AI agents register on Ethereum in one day

This week, Coinbase introduced Agentic Wallets, a new infrastructure that lets AI agents autonomously hold, spend, earn, and trade cryptocurrencies while using Coinbase's security and compliance tools. Over the same period, more than 13,000 AI agents registered on Ethereum after the ERC-8004 standard went live, and Lightning Labs detailed tools for AI payments over the Bitcoin Lightning Network alongside gains in several AI-linked tokens.
