Banca Sella clears Bank of Italy notification, targets 2026 MiCA crypto custody launch

Banca Sella has completed its formal notification process with the Bank of Italy and is cleared to introduce regulated digital-asset custody and transfer services in 2026. The Gruppo Sella bank, which reports about 1.3 million customers and roughly €34Bn in group assets, says the initial rollout will target specific customer categories rather than a broad retail launch.
