Crypto liquidations hit $606M in 24 hours as longs account for $481M

ChainCatcher cited Coinglass data showing total crypto liquidations reached $606 million over the past 24 hours. Long positions made up $481 million of the total, while shorts accounted for $125 million. By asset, Bitcoin liquidations included $189 million in long positions and $41.24 million in shorts. Ethereum saw $125 million in long liquidations and $25.19 million in short liquidations. Coinglass data also indicated 114,611 traders were liquidated worldwide during the period. The largest single liquidation was recorded on Bitfinex in the tBTCF0:USTF0 contract, valued at $11.43 million.
