Trump Media moves $204M worth of bitcoin to Crypto.com, fueling market talk

CoinDesk cited Arkham on-chain data showing bitcoin wallets linked to Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT) sent more than 2,650 BTC to an address tagged as Crypto.com on Thursday evening, a transfer valued at about $204 million at the time. The deposits were executed in two tranches, clustered around 8 p.m. ET. Trump Media has not disclosed the purpose of the transaction and did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Large transfers into centralized exchanges are often read by traders as a potential prelude to selling, though a deposit alone does not confirm an actual sale. Arkham data indicates that, after the move, wallets associated with the company still hold roughly $533 million in bitcoin. Earlier this year, the same cluster of addresses transferred about 3.2 BTC—around $245,000—to Crypto.com. In its latest financial disclosures, Trump Media reported total assets of approximately $2.1 billion and a first-quarter 2026 net loss of nearly $406 million, driven mainly by non-cash items. These included unrealized losses on digital assets, pledged digital assets, and losses tied to equity securities. The report noted that BTC was trading near $119,000 when the company first announced its bitcoin purchase. Bitcoin was last around $76,700, down about 0.6% over 24 hours and roughly 3.3% on the week. The price pullback has renewed attention on how the company may manage its remaining holdings.
