XLS-372 Confidential MPTs Aim to Bring Privacy Features to XRP Ledger in March 2026

In a March 2026 report, the U.S. Treasury recognized the use of mixers and anonymization tools as a lawful right for blockchain users, reinforcing the concept of financial privacy. Following this development, XRPL validator and contributor Vet highlighted amendment XLS-372, which proposes Confidential MPTs to integrate regulated, mixer-like protections for XRP transactions with selective disclosure capabilities. If implemented, the XRP Ledger could offer bank-style privacy on a public network while still allowing information sharing with authorities when officially requested.
