NVIDIA begins full production of 88-core Vera CPU aimed at AI agent data centers
On May 31, NVIDIA said it has moved its 88-core Vera CPU into full production, framing it as a data-center processor built specifically for AI agent workloads. The company listed OpenAI, Anthropic, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, ByteDance, SpaceXAI, and CoreWeave as early adopters planning deployments, and claimed Vera can reach up to 1.8x the performance of x86 CPUs on agentic AI tasks.
