Sui Foundation details v1.72 bugs behind three mainnet halts on May 28–29
The Sui Foundation said three Sui mainnet halts between May 28 and May 29 were traced to the v1.72 upgrade, with two incidents tied to a gas-charging underflow and a third linked to randomness state persistence during validator restarts. The outages lasted roughly six and a half hours, around three and a half hours, and nearly six hours, while the Foundation stated user funds were not at risk and confirmed transactions were not rolled back. SUI later traded at $0.876 after dropping 7.27% on May 28 and breaking below $0.927 and $0.965, with RSI at 34.51.
