CryptoBizzle reposted that it was surprising Nobitex had not already been sanctioned by the United States. The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on Tuesday sanctioned Nobitex, three other trading platforms, and Nobitex's current CEO along with three of the exchange's co-founders. The post also flagged a detail in the U.S. Treasury's announcement: the department returned to saying it had seized "nearly $500 million" in Iranian crypto assets.
