Zcash network stalls after emergency Orchard patch

Zcash (ZEC) went more than four hours without producing a new block, according to InfinityHedge. The halt followed an emergency upgrade coordinated by developers a day earlier to fix a vulnerability in Orchard, the protocol's newest shielded pool. The team said the flaw was identified during a security review and that there is no evidence of exploitation so far.
