BNP Paribas Commercial Banking in France is adding six crypto-asset ETNs linked to bitcoin and ethereum to its exchange platform, enabling retail clients to gain price exposure through standard securities accounts. The bank said the rollout starts March 30, 2026, initially covering individual, entrepreneurial, private banking, and Hello bank! clients in France, with a phased expansion to wealth management clients in other markets.

Bitcoin fell below $65,000 and printed an intraday low of $64,785 on Bitstamp, before rebounding to $66,778 by 8:25 p.m. Eastern on Sunday. Over the past 24 hours, 86,277 traders were liquidated for $278 million, including $234 million in longs, with more than $100 million in BTC longs and roughly $85 million in ETH longs wiped out. The broader crypto market slipped 0.58% to $2.28 trillion as U.S. stock futures turned lower and oil rose to $103.

DeFi protocols are redesigning liquidation mechanics to keep value that previously went to external MEV bots, as Ethereum lending markets hold about $2.16 billion in liquidatable positions. Aave says it has recaptured over $16.7 million in MEV on Ethereum via its SVR model and is extending SVR to Arbitrum and Base. Aave’s TVL is near $23.87 billion and its revenue is $6.24 million over 30 days, though the model’s durability is tied to ongoing market activity and volatility.

Coin ATM Radar data dated March 29, 2026, shows the global crypto ATM fleet at 38,928 units after a 597 net decline in 2026 to date. The U.S. leads with 30,247 machines (77.7%), followed by Canada at 3,839 (9.9%) and Europe at 1,727 (4.4%). Bitcoin Depot remains the largest operator with 9,246 ATMs, while bitcoin is supported on nearly all machines and ethereum is listed at 22,200 locations.

Lido’s Ecosystem Operations team has put forward a governance proposal to let the Lido Growth Committee spend up to 10,000 stETH (about $20 million at roughly $2,000 ETH) to purchase LDO as a one-off buyback. LDO set a new all-time low near $0.27 on Mar. 7 and is trading around $0.31; at current levels, the plan could take in roughly 65 million tokens, or about 8% of circulating supply.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) was range-bound on Wednesday, while the Shibarium team said the Layer-2 network has exceeded 270 million wallet addresses after recent infrastructure work. The team also said the explorer is being rebuilt and currently shows only a partial view, with 2.4 million blocks and about 168 million transactions displayed versus more than 14 million blocks and over 1.56 billion transactions on-chain. At press time, SHIB traded at $0.000005776, down 2.86% over the past 24 hours.

Lido DAO approved a $60 million operating budget for 2026 and set a three-year plan to expand beyond liquid staking into yield vaults, institutional wrappers, and "real-business DeFi." The strategy follows staking yield compression, with base APRs cited at 3–5%, and includes Ethereum mainnet launches such as Lido V3 stVaults (Jan. 30, 2026) plus Lido Earn products EarnETH and EarnUSD.

Gnosis and Zisk developers, backed by the Ethereum Foundation, proposed the "Ethereum Economic Zone" to let rollups and mainnet coordinate within a single transaction without bridges. The framework aims to reduce liquidity and infrastructure duplication caused by Ethereum's multi-rollup scaling approach, with technical details and benchmarks expected in the coming weeks.

BNP Paribas said it will start offering six exchange-traded notes linked to Bitcoin and Ethereum on March 30. The ETNs are issued by firms including BlackRock, Invesco, WisdomTree, and VanEck, and the bank says the lineup is fully MiFID II compliant while being offered in response to client demand.

Traders on Polymarket are increasingly pricing in that Ether may lose the crypto market’s No. 2 ranking in 2026, with the contract’s odds rising from 17% at the start of the year to above 59%. Over the past five years, ETH market-cap growth lagged USDT and USDC, while US spot Ethereum ETF AUM fell to $11.76 billion in March from $31.86 billion last October.
