Vitalik Buterin Outlines "Walkaway Test" and Quantum-Safe Roadmap for Ethereum's Future

Ethereum cofounder Vitalik Buterin has set out a "walkaway test" vision in which the network must keep running safely and usefully even if core developers stop working on it. He argues Ethereum should become quantum-resistant, reach thousands of TPS with technologies like ZK-EVM and PeerDAS, and limit unbounded state growth so upgrades become optional rather than critical for survival.
