Intel and Nvidia target Q1 2028 launch for x86 CPUs with integrated RTX graphics
Intel and Nvidia are jointly developing x86 processors that integrate RTX-class GPUs, with a target release in Q1 2028. The chips are expected to use TSMC’s N3P process and pair Intel CPU cores with an Nvidia GPU based on its Rubin architecture. The collaboration, formally confirmed by both companies in September 2025, is aimed at taking on AMD’s high-end mobile APUs. While mass production remains distant and manufacturing yields could still pose risks, the timeline is now more concrete and underscores Nvidia’s push deeper into the traditional PC client ecosystem.
