Apple introduced a CarPlay route-sharing feature at WWDC that lets navigation apps sync route data to a vehicle, including charging stops and battery information. The capability is already available with iOS 16.4 rather than a future release. A report says it could remove the last technical barrier that has kept Tesla from adding CarPlay. For now, Tesla owners still rely on third-party workarounds, with no official integration in place.
