SanDisk shares slide more than 45% from record despite Q3 datacenter memory revenue of $1.47 billion
SanDisk (SNDK) reported fiscal Q3 datacenter memory revenue of $1.47 billion, up 233% sequentially, driven by demand tied to AI inference, reasoning tasks and agentic systems. The company said it signed three long-term supply contracts in Q3 with minimum contractual revenue of about $42 billion, supported by financial guarantees exceeding $11 billion. Even so, the stock is down more than 45% from its all-time highs, though the company’s outlook still points to continued growth.

Wheat futures slide into month-end as CBOT, KCBT and MIAX contracts drop 23–28 cents
Wheat futures fell across the three major U.S. exchanges into the end of July, with front-month contracts down 23–28 cents. Export Sales data put total 2026/27 wheat sales at 6.979 MMT, or 33% of USDA’s current export estimate, trailing the 39% average pace. In France, the soft wheat harvest was listed as complete, with 65% rated good/excellent as of July 27, according to FranceAgriMer.

India monsoon outlook cut to 90% of long-term average lifts sugar futures
Sugar futures strengthened as India’s monsoon outlook dimmed and signs of tighter supply emerged. India’s cumulative monsoon rainfall was 13% below normal as of July 31, and officials lowered the June–September season forecast to 90% of the long-term average. In Brazil’s Center-South, 2026/27 sugar output through May totaled 6.838 MMT, down 2.0% y/y, while global 2026/27 human sugar consumption is projected to reach a record 179.991 MMT, up 0.4% y/y. The combination supported gains in raw and white sugar contracts.

U.S. cotton futures extend gains; Oct contract settles at 79.41 cents/lb
U.S. cotton futures extended their rally, with the most-active contracts rising 89–139 points on Thursday and the October contract settling at 79.41 cents per pound. Weekly new-crop export sales totaled 352,447 running bales (RB), the highest of the marketing year, led by Vietnam with 245,500 RB. The U.S. dollar index fell 0.914, while crude oil slipped 50 cents per barrel. ICE certified cotton stocks were unchanged at 90,699 bales.

The European Commission lowered its 2024/25 EU wheat production forecast to 124.4 million metric tons, down 1.9 million from its prior estimate. Intel posts $16.1 billion Q2 revenue, up 25% in strongest growth in over 15 years
Intel released its second-quarter results on July 23, 2026, reporting revenue of $16.1 billion, up 25% year over year and its strongest quarterly growth in 15 years. The figure sharply exceeded the market expectation of $14.4 billion. Data Center and AI (DCAI) revenue rose 59% to $6.3 billion, while Client Computing revenue increased 13% to $8.9 billion. The results point to a marked improvement in the fundamentals of Intel’s core legacy asset, INTC stock.
