UAE pursues multibillion-dollar plan to eliminate reliance on the Strait of Hormuz
The UAE is advancing multibillion-dollar infrastructure plans, including expanding eastern ports such as Fujairah, building new oil pipelines, and strengthening rail and road links, to fully reduce reliance on the Strait of Hormuz. While rerouting non-energy commodities such as aluminium remains difficult, the strategy strengthens redundancy for key global oil and LNG export routes and bolsters supply security premiums.

Nifty crosses 24,000 as Brent slides to $79 and rupee strengthens

The report frames the drop in crude as a key macro tailwind behind gains in Indian equities, signalling a direct negative for oil assets.
