ROSE token is the main token of Oasis Network that will support the activities within the Oasis Network ecosystem. The ROSE token will be used for ecosystem transaction fees, token staking, and delegations within the consensus layer. ROSE token has a circulating supply of 1.5 billion tokens at launch and a 10 billion tokens total supply.

What is Oasis Network's aiming is to spearhead the privacy component and scalability with a layer 1 solution decentralized network that focuses on scalability and privacy. Supported by 2 main architectural components which are the Consensus Layer and ParaTime Layer.

The consensus layer is a proof of stake consensus focused on high throughput, security, and scalability that are run by a set of decentralized validator nodes while the ParaTime layer can host several parallel runtimes representing a replicated compute environment.

Emerald ParaTime solves both problems by increasing the transaction amounts to 1,000 per second and reducing gas fees by 99% + compared to Ethereum.

Cipher ParaTime is known also known as the confidential smart contract as it is designed for holding the features of enabling Oasis Network privacy-preserving smart contracts.
