Vanguard, the world's second-largest asset manager with over $11 trillion under management, will begin allowing cryptocurrency ETFs and mutual funds to trade on its platform starting Tuesday. The firm cited evolving investor preferences and improved fund stability as reasons for the policy shift. The move marks a reversal from its previous stance against offering crypto-related products, including spot bitcoin ETFs launched by competitors BlackRock and Fidelity.

Bitcoin fell from above $89,000 to nearly $86,000 within one hour at the start of December, while Ethereum declined more than 5% in the same period. Total crypto market capitalization dropped from approximately $1.82 trillion to below $1.72 trillion, reaching its lowest level in recent weeks.

Cardano has introduced a community proposal to allocate 70 million ADA tokens, approximately $30 million, toward integrating tier-one stablecoins, custody providers, bridges, oracles, and institutional analytics platforms. The initiative is backed by Input Output, EMURGO, the Cardano Foundation, Intersect, and the Midnight Foundation. The proposal aims to establish core DeFi infrastructure ahead of 2026, targeting expansion of the network's stablecoin base from $40 million into the low-hundreds-of-millions range.

Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin has reached $1.26 billion in total supply, with $1.03 billion or 82% deployed on Ethereum and $235 million on the XRP Ledger. The distribution reflects Ethereum's mature DeFi infrastructure and deep liquidity pools compared to XRPL's emerging ecosystem. Weekly transfer volume on Ethereum now averages approximately $1.0 billion, up from $66 million at the start of the year, according to Token Terminal.

Ethereum fell below $3,000 on Sunday, declining toward $2,800 and intensifying market pressure. Data show whale wallet 0xdECF transferred 5,000 ETH—approximately $15.05 million—to Binance. Since October 28, the wallet has moved 25,603 ETH to exchanges, totaling roughly $85.44 million, while retaining 10,000 ETH worth around $30.34 million.

BitMine Immersion Technologies purchased 96,798 ETH last week, expanding total holdings to 3.73 million ETH valued at approximately $10.5 billion. The acquisition occurred as Ethereum declined 6% overnight to just above $2,800, while BitMine shares fell over 11%. The company cited the upcoming Fusaka upgrade scheduled for Dec. 3 as a catalyst for accelerated purchases.

Yearn Finance's yETH pool was drained of approximately $9 million through a minting exploit. The attacker transferred 1,000 ETH to Tornado Cash while retaining around $6 million in a controlling wallet. Data show the breach targeted protective mechanisms in the pool's minting contract.

Ethereum has reversed sharply from the $3,000 level, declining 8% after encountering concentrated resistance and the prevailing downtrend structure. Technical indicators and liquidation data show continued corrective pressure, with market focus shifting to critical support levels as the asset tests a pivotal decision zone.

An attacker exploited a vulnerability in Yearn Finance's legacy yETH product on November 30, 2025, minting approximately 235 trillion unauthorized tokens. The breach resulted in losses of roughly $9 million in ETH and liquid staking derivatives from liquidity pools. Around 1,000 ETH, valued at approximately $3 million, was transferred to Tornado Cash following the incident.

Digital asset investment products recorded $1.07 billion in net inflows for the week, ending a four-week outflow streak that totaled $5.7 billion, according to CoinShares data. Bitcoin products attracted $464 million while XRP set a weekly record with $289 million. Ethereum contributed $309.1 million to the recovery. The United States accounted for 93% of global inflows at $994 million.
