According to CoinMarketCap, Ripple's USD-backed stablecoin RLUSD has reached a $1.56 billion market cap with 1.55 billion tokens in circulation. A $40 million mint on Ethereum two days ago and sustained daily volumes above $43 million leave RLUSD less than $500 million from the $2 billion mark, with early Q2 2026 cited as a potential milestone.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies said that as of Feb. 22, 2026, its combined crypto and cash assets totaled $9.6 billion. The company now holds 4,422,659 ETH after buying 51,162 tokens in the past week, with 3,040,483 ETH staked and current annualized staking revenues of $171 million.

Vitalik Buterin sold 1,869 ETH valued at about $3.67 million over the past two days while ether fell from roughly $1,980 to $1,850. He previously moved 3,500 ETH from Aave and earlier disposals totaled 6,958 ETH. Despite recent sales, his holdings remain above 224,000 ETH.

On 16 February 2026, Arizona’s Senate Finance Committee approved a bill to establish a state-managed Digital Assets Strategic Reserve Fund using seized cryptocurrencies instead of taxpayer money. The proposal, filed on 3 February 2026 by Mark Finchem, names Bitcoin, XRP and DigiByte as eligible assets, and could make Arizona the first U.S. state to formally include XRP in a government reserve structure. Under the plan, the State Treasurer would oversee custody, investment and potential lending of these digital assets within strict risk and storage rules.

According to Lookonchain data reviewed on February 23, Vitalik Buterin sold 1,869 ETH worth about $3.67 million over the past 48 hours. During that span, ETH slipped from $1,988 to $1,875 before trading near $1,916. Earlier in the month he offloaded 6,958 ETH, taking February sales to more than 8,800.

The crypto market slid over the past 24 hours, with total value near $2,26 trillion, down about 2,9%. Bitcoin traded around $65 761 (-3,26% 24h; -4,18% weekly) on $34,7 billion volume, while Ethereum hovered near $1 883 (-4,67% 24h). Indicators show Fear & Greed at 14 and the Altcoin Season Index at 31/100.

Ether is moving toward a test of the $1,500 support area after breaking down from a bear pennant pattern, with a chart-based objective near $1,475 by late February or early March. At the same time, Vitalik Buterin’s Kanro entity has been selling part of a planned 16,384 ETH allocation, and onchain data indicate roughly 7,000-plus ETH still remain to be distributed. This combination of technical weakness and ongoing founder-linked supply could keep downside pressure on the ETH price in the near term.

Crypto analyst Alexhiz on TradingView outlines a macro correction for Ethereum, warning that support above $1,900 could fail and a roughly 60% slide toward $600 may be ahead. He argues a capitulation-driven liquidity reset could enable long-term accumulation, with potential targets of $10,000–$15,000 in 2028–2029.

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said in an X post on Sunday that AI-powered personal assistants could help users navigate DAO governance by handling routine votes and surfacing context. He pointed to participation rates of roughly 15%–25% and warned of centralization risks. Near Foundation researcher Lane Rettig described similar "digital twins" last year.
