GitLab says AI is driving seat demand as quarterly first orders top 1,700
GitLab told its earnings call that AI is becoming a durable, long-term tailwind for the company, supporting seat growth and other parts of its growth algorithm. The company said AI is lowering the barrier to building software, bringing more builders into customer accounts and helping attract new customers. GitLab added more than 1,700 first orders in the quarter, more than doubling from a year earlier, and said first-order net ARR rose nearly 40%.
