India’s Gland Pharma has received U.S. FDA approval for its abbreviated new drug application for Sugammadex Injection in 200 mg/2 mL and 500 mg/5 mL single-dose vials. The product is a bioequivalent generic version of Merck Sharp & Dohme’s Bridion Injection and is used to reverse neuromuscular blockade induced by rocuronium bromide and vecuronium bromide during surgery. The company said it launched the product on the day of approval through its marketing partner. U.S. sales for the product were around $1.6 billion in the 12 months ended April 2026, according to IQVIA data cited by Gland Pharma.

Coal India reported June-quarter net profit of ₹8,850 crore, up 0.7% year on year, even as expenses rose 27% to ₹3,260 crore.
