Ford recalls 148,663 Mustang vehicles over engine wiring harness defect
U.S. safety regulators said Ford is recalling 148,663 2024–2026 Mustang vehicles over an engine compartment wiring harness defect. The issue can cause a sudden loss of power while driving, stalling, and headlamp failures, raising the risk of a crash, and is estimated to affect about 1% of the recalled vehicles. As of June 18, 2026, Ford had received eight warranty claims, including four within three months of service. Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed between Aug. 31 and Sept. 4.

Meta teen social media addiction trial heads to jury, Zuckerberg set to testify
Meta’s trial over alleged teen social media addiction is set to begin, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg expected to testify. Attorneys general from California, Colorado, Kentucky and New Jersey sued in 2023, accusing Facebook and Instagram of harming young users and misleading the public about risks. Meta says the states’ requested penalties could be as high as $1.4 trillion, close to the company’s market capitalization. A New Mexico state court previously ordered Meta to pay $567 million and overhaul teen protections on Facebook and Instagram.

Bank of America rolls out $250B plan to finance U.S. infrastructure buildout through July 4, 2027
Bank of America has launched a Critical Infrastructure Finance Initiative that aims to deploy $250 billion to support U.S. infrastructure projects. The bank said the deployment will run over an 18month period ending July 4, 2027, using lending, investments, capital markets and advisory transactions. Separately, it said that in 2025 it invested nearly $40 million in 97 U.S. workforce development partners.
