XRP Ledger is stepping up preparations for potential quantum-computing risks by partnering with post-quantum cryptography and cybersecurity firm Project Eleven. On May 19, Project Eleven said the collaboration will audit XRPL's validator, wallet, custody, and networking stack and work on hybrid signatures plus a quantum-secure custody wallet prototype.

Prediction-market odds show Bitcoin (BTC) narrowly leading XRP in expectations for the highest returns in 2026, with BTC at about 27% versus XRP at 26%. Bitcoin was priced at $76,891 at the time of reporting (down more than 12% year-to-date), while XRP stood at $1.37 (down more than 25% year-to-date). The same market also ranks Chainlink and Dogecoin ahead on positive-return expectations, at 33% and 32% respectively.

The May 15 TradingView analysis says BTC is now 760 days from the April 2024 halving, while separate on-chain data shows network growth nearing the 60 level as Bitcoin trades at $78,362.

BlackRock's crypto ETFs logged roughly $653.9 million in net outflows across five trading days from May 11 to May 15, led by withdrawals from its Bitcoin and Ethereum products. IBIT recorded about $461.2 million in outflows, while ETHA and ETHB together saw around $192.7 million pulled, as Bitcoin fell below $80,000 and Ethereum traded near $2,100.

Ripple is set for its next monthly escrow unlock on June 1, when up to 1 billion XRP becomes available under its long-running release schedule. Historically, Ripple has typically re-escrowed 600 million to 800 million XRP, leaving an estimated 200 million to 400 million XRP as the usual net increase in circulating supply. XRP was last noted at $1.42, down about 3.6% over 24 hours and 0.6% on the week.
