Cena Quickswap [OLD] (QUICK)

QuickSwap is an Ethereum-based decentralized exchange (DEX) running on Polygon Network's layer 2 infrastructure. It is essentially a modified version of Uniswap, using the automated market maker (AMM) model for token trading.

Layer 2 is a secondary framework built on top of an existing blockchain system, designed to address issues related to transaction speed and scalability in cryptocurrency networks. QuickSwap aims to tackle the challenges faced by decentralized finance (DeFi) as the demand for decentralized trading has surged. DeFi's popularity has led to increased transaction costs and confirmation times on the Ethereum mainchain. By leveraging layer 2 technology, QuickSwap provides a solution to these problems and aims to make DeFi more accessible to newcomers.

QuickSwap operates as a permissionless platform, allowing any user to list any ERC20 token on the DEX by providing liquidity for the trading pair. There's no need for external authorization to list assets. Additionally, users can trade directly from their personal wallets, such as Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, or other mobile wallets via WalletConnect. This approach ensures that users retain control over their assets throughout the trading process, as there's no requirement to deposit tokens on the exchange beforehand.

QUICK is the native ERC20 token of QuickSwap, and its governance is in the hands of the community. QUICK token holders have the power to propose and vote on protocol changes and other important decisions affecting the community, including treasury fund distribution.

The project's history involves two main developers: Nick Mudge and Sameep Singhania. Mudge, with extensive blockchain programming experience, contributed significantly to the development of ERC721 standards and authored the EIP-2535 Diamond Standard. Singhania, on the other hand, is a senior blockchain developer with a focus on promoting the adoption of decentralized technology.

QuickSwap receives support and advisory services from two organizations: LDA (Lunar Digital Assets), a blockchain marketing and consulting firm, and the Matic Foundation, which governs Polygon. LDA helps in showcasing the value proposition of the protocol, while the Matic Foundation provides technical support and advisory guidance. The Matic Foundation is also interested in participating in the platform's governance.

The total supply of QUICK tokens is capped at 1,000,000. These tokens are created and earned through liquidity provision on the platform. Liquidity providers receive LP tokens as receipts for their share in the pool and benefit from transaction fees, which are set at 0.3% for all swaps using a liquidity pool. Users can claim their earned transaction fees at any time and reinvest their tokens back into the LP, gaining fees based on their overall liquidity share.

Furthermore, users can participate in dual liquidity mining on the platform by depositing LP tokens to earn dQuick and wMatic tokens. This incentivizes users to contribute to the liquidity pool and further participate in the QuickSwap ecosystem.
