Crypto liquidations hit $736M in 24 hours as long positions take the bigger hit

Global crypto markets saw $736 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, Coinglass data cited by ChainCatcher showed. Long liquidations totaled $428 million, outstripping $308 million in short liquidations. Bitcoin accounted for $150 million in liquidated longs and $140 million in liquidated shorts. Ethereum saw $122 million in long liquidations and $79.96 million in short liquidations. In total, 110,580 traders were liquidated worldwide during the period. The largest single liquidation was recorded on Bitfinex in the tBTCF0:USTF0 contract, worth $11.43 million.
