Dear Users,

BingX CFD supports trading in multiple asset types, including metals, stock indices, forex, and commodities.Since CFD assets cover different global financial markets, the trading hours for each asset follow the opening and closing schedule of the corresponding market. This article explains the regular trading hours for each asset, weekly opening and closing times, server restart schedules, and special market operating rules during holidays, to help you plan your trading better.

1) Regular Trading Hours by Asset

The MT5 trading server uses the GMT+2 (winter time) / GMT+3 (summer time) time zone. When converting times, note the switch between summer time and winter time. The order time, position opening time, and other times shown on the trading page are all MT5 server time. Please note the difference.CFD offers two trading modes, zero fee mode and ultra-low spread mode, and the trading hours are identical for both modes.

* The actual trading hours for an asset vary depending on the asset category and underlying market. On the BingX CFD trading page, click "Info" for the corresponding asset to view the full schedule under "Local Time" that applies to that specific asset.

  • CFD assets cannot be traded on non-trading days.
  • You cannot place orders, close positions, or modify orders after market close and before market open.
  • We recommend planning your positions carefully before market close to avoid unnecessary risk exposure during market closure.
  • CFD uses cross margin mode, so unfilled trigger price orders do not occupy available margin.Even if you have untriggered pending orders during market closure, your available margin balance will not be affected.

2) Weekly MT5 Server Restart Schedule

To ensure stable system operation and the best trading experience, the BingX MT5 trading server will undergo scheduled restart maintenance after market close every Friday. This process takes some time.

Item Description
Restart time After market close every Friday (corresponding to 00:00 on Saturday, MT5 server time)
Affected Areas: Trading functions (including placing orders, closing positions, and queries) are temporarily unavailable
  • During the restart, trading features (including placing orders, closing positions, querying, etc.) will be temporarily unavailable, and ongoing trades may also be affected or interrupted. Service will automatically return to normal once maintenance is complete.
  • We recommend planning your trades in advance and avoiding urgent operations around market close every Friday to prevent inconvenience. This is part of our routine system maintenance and is completely normal.
  • Since CFD assets track underlying assets in traditional global financial markets, when the corresponding market closes for a holiday or shortens its trading hours, the related CFD assets will be adjusted accordingly. The actual schedule is subject to the platform's announcement.

3) Market Closure and Trading Suspension Rules

In BingX CFD trading, there are two different trading restriction states: Market Closed and Trading Suspended. The two differ in their triggering causes and the actions they allow. Please note the difference.

1. Difference Between "Market Closed" and "Trading Suspended"

Type Market Closed Trading Suspended
Trigger reason Normal market close, weekends, holidays Special holiday arrangements, abnormal liquidity, contract rollover, abnormal KYC status, and other causes
Front-end display The order button is grayed out and cannot be used The Buy/Sell button shows "Trading Suspended"
Open a new position Not allowed Not allowed
Close position (market price) Not allowed Allowed (only from the position list)
Modify TP/SL Not allowed Yes
Cancel trigger price orders Not allowed Yes
View positions/orders Yes Yes

2. What Is "Reduce Only" Mode?

  • "Reduce Only" is equivalent to the "Trading Suspended" state, meaning users are only allowed to close or reduce existing positions, and cannot open new positions.
  • Applicable scenarios: before and after holidays, periods of extremely low market liquidity, and when an asset is about to expire and switch contracts.

3. Trigger Conditions

  • Before an early holiday market close: some assets switch to Trading Suspended (Reduce Only) 30 minutes to 1 hour before the early holiday market close
  • After a delayed holiday market open: opening new positions is briefly restricted during the early period after the market reopens following a holiday, while liquidity has not yet fully recovered
  • Abnormally low market liquidity: automatically triggered to protect users when the bid-ask spread widens significantly and market depth is insufficient
  • Contract expiration/rollover period: when an asset's contract is about to expire and undergo a rollover switch

4. Order Handling Rules During the Trading Suspended (Reduce Only) State

  • Close position market orders: execute normally
  • Close position trigger price orders: execute normally (close position after trigger)
  • New position market orders: rejected, with the system message "Currently reduce-only"
  • New trigger price orders for opening positions: rejected or triggering is suspended
  • Existing trigger price orders for opening positions: kept but triggering is suspended, and they will become active again once normal trading resumes
  • Modify existing TP/SL: can be modified normally
  • Cancel existing trigger price orders: can be canceled normally

5. How to Prepare in Advance?

  • Watch for announcements: the platform will publish announcements about specific trading hour adjustments and restrictions before holidays.
  • Plan your positions in advance: we recommend assessing your risk exposure before holidays and reducing positions or setting trigger price orders for take profit as needed.
  • Avoid adding to positions before holidays: avoid opening large new positions during periods when reduce-only mode is expected to start soon.
  • Watch for volatility at the start of trading: on the first trading day after a holiday, the market may experience gaps or insufficient liquidity, so trade carefully.

4) FAQ

Q1: Can I trade CFDs on weekends?

A: No. All CFD products are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, and no trading operations are available.

Q2: Why do different products have different trading hours on the same day?

A: CFDs track different underlying markets around the world, and each market has different opening and closing times, so trading hours vary by product.Trading hours vary by asset class. Check the "Info" section on the CFD trading page for the schedule that applies to each specific asset.

Q3: How do I find the trading hours for a specific product?

A: On the BingX trading page, tap "Info" for the corresponding CFD asset to view its specific trading hours.

Q4: Will my positions be affected during MT5 server restarts?

A: The restart usually takes 2–3 minutes, during which you cannot place orders or close positions. If you have open positions, your position data will be restored automatically once the restart is complete. We recommend avoiding urgent operations around market close every Friday.

Q5: Will my trigger price orders be canceled during reduce-only periods on holidays?

A: No, they will not be canceled.Existing trigger price orders for opening positions will have triggering suspended and will automatically become active again once normal trading mode resumes. However, newly submitted trigger price orders for opening positions will be rejected by the system.

Q6: How do I check the latest holiday trading schedule?

A: Follow the BingX Announcement Center. The platform publishes the next month's holiday trading schedule in advance each month.

Q7: Do zero fee mode and ultra-low spread mode have the same trading hours?

A: Yes. Both trading modes have exactly the same trading hours. The only difference is in the fee structure, which does not affect trading hours.

Q8: What is the difference between "market closed" and "trading suspended"?

A: Market closed means the market is closed as usual (such as on weekends or holidays), during which all operations are unavailable.Trading suspended refers to special situations (such as insufficient liquidity around holidays), during which the system only restricts opening new positions. You can still close positions, modify TP/SL, and cancel orders.

Q9: Does an unfilled trigger price order use my margin?

A: No.CFDs use cross margin mode. An unfilled trigger price order does not use your available margin, and margin is only used after the order is actually triggered and filled.

Q10: Why is the time shown on the trading page different from my local time?

A: Order time, open time, close time, and other times on the trading page are shown in MT5 server time (GMT+2 during standard time / GMT+3 during daylight saving time). For example, during daylight saving time, if MT5 shows 10:00, this corresponds to 15:00 in UTC+8. During standard time, it corresponds to 16:00 in UTC+8.
