1. What Is Trial Fund?

Trial Fund is a benefit for multiple purposes. It can be used as trading capital or to offset losses, funding fees, Guaranteed Price fees, and other charges.
BingX Trial Fund is available in two forms: Trial Fund Vouchers and Trial Fund balance. Users must redeem Trial Fund Vouchers into Trial Fund balance before using them.

  • Trial Fund Vouchers: Stored in My Vouchers and can be redeemed for use.

  • Trial Funds: After users click "Redeem" on a voucher, the assets are transferred to the Futures Account and become directly usable Trial Funds.

Instructions for using multiple Trial Funds:

Users can claim and redeem multiple Trial Funds with different offset ratios at the same time. After redemption, Trial Funds are credited to the corresponding Futures Account, and each Trial Fund takes effect separately based on its own offset ratio, validity period, and usage rules.

The same account can claim up to 10 Trial Funds with different offset ratios at the same time. Up to 100 Trial Funds can be shown and used under Trial Fund Vouchers/fund status.

Withdrawal rules:

  • Principal cannot be withdrawn: Trial Fund assets can only be used within the Futures Account and cannot be withdrawn or transferred out.

  • Profits can be withdrawn: Users can withdraw net profits generated from trading with Trial Funds.

2. How to Get Trial Fund Vouchers

The platform distributes Trial Fund Vouchers through official events from time to time. Please follow platform announcements closely.

Note: After receiving a Trial Fund Voucher, make sure your App is updated to v4.67.0 or later to use it properly.

3. How to Unlock Trial Fund Vouchers
There are two types of Trial Fund Vouchers:
  • Vouchers without unlocking thresholds can be used directly.
  • Vouchers with unlocking requirements are initially in the "Unlock" state. The "Redeem" button appears after users meet the unlocking condition.

  1. Complete advanced verification

Users must complete the required level of identity verification (KYC) as specified for the task to be considered complete.

  2. "Cumulative Futures Trading Volume" Task

Users must reach the specified futures trading volume to complete the task. Trading amount is counted starting from the moment the user receives the voucher.

  • Included in the calculation: Standard Futures trading (crypto, forex, indices, commodities) and Perpetual Futures trading (crypto).

  • Excluded from calculation: Sub-accounts' Perp Futures trades, trades held for less than 1 minute, Bonus Voucher trades, Position Voucher trades, and the portion of trading volume corresponding to trading fees offset by Trial Fund Vouchers.

  1. Cumulative Net Deposit Task

Users must complete the specified amount of net deposits for the task to be considered complete. Net deposits are counted starting from the moment the user receives the voucher.

  • Calculation formula: Net deposits = deposits − withdrawals

Deposits: Made via crypto networks, P2P Buy, third-party platforms, linked bank cards, Fiat Deposit, internal transfers, and Crypto Gifts.

Withdrawals: Made via crypto networks, P2P Sell, third-party platforms, linked bank cards, internal withdrawals, and Fiat Withdrawals.

  1. Perpetual / Standard Futures USDT Account Asset Task

Users must have the specified asset amount in their Perpetual Futures/Standard Futures USDT account for the task to be considered complete. This task also serves as the threshold for redeeming Trial Fund Vouchers into Trial Funds; you can redeem only after meeting the threshold.See the detailed explanation below.

4.2 Redeem Vouchers

You must first redeem the Trial Fund Voucher for Trial Funds before you can use it. After redemption, the system transfers the funds to the user’s Futures Account as real funds.

  1. Redemption Account

Click the Redeem button on the voucher. A 'Confirm Redemption' pop-up appears based on the voucher’s designated business type.

When the voucher is designated for Perpetual Futures, the Perpetual Futures Account will receive the redeemed Trial Funds.

When the voucher is designated for Standard Futures, the Standard Futures Account will receive the redeemed Trial Funds.

When the voucher is designated for Futures, it is up to users to decide which account will receive the Trial Funds, either Perpetual Futures Account or Standard Futures Account.

    tw-5.png
  2. Redemption Threshold

As Trial Funds are normally used alongside users' own assets, the system will verify users' own assets in the Futures Account when users initiate a redemption request. Redemption is only possible when the user's own asset balance equals to or is greater than the redemption threshold specified on the voucher.

    * Users' own assets = account asset balance - Trial Fund balance

  3. Redemption Restrictions

Users can now redeem and use multiple Trial Funds at the same time. Users can redeem multiple Trial Funds in the same Futures Account at the same time. Even if the Trial Funds have different offset ratios, they can coexist and be used according to the rules.

The following conditions must be met to redeem:

    • The voucher is in a redeemable state and has not expired.
    • The unlock task corresponding to the voucher has been completed.
    • The own funds balance in the corresponding Futures Account meets the redemption threshold.
    • The current number of Trial Funds with different offset ratios available for claiming has not exceeded the limit.

Claim limit: The same account can claim up to 10 Trial Funds with different offset ratios at the same time.

Usage limit: Up to 100 Trial Funds can be used or shown at the same time in the Trial Fund status.

If the limit is exceeded, users need to first use some Trial Funds, wait for some Trial Funds to become invalid, or wait for some Trial Funds to be recovered before claiming or redeeming new Trial Funds.

  4. Redemption Validity Period
Trial Fund Vouchers have a redemption validity period. See the time shown on the Trial Fund Voucher in My Vouchers. If you do not redeem the Trial Fund Voucher within its validity period, it will expire and become invalid.
4.3 View Funds
After successfully receiving a Trial Fund Voucher, you can check it through the following path:
  1. Web: Click the Assets button to go to the Futures Account page, then find Trial Fund under the corresponding type of Futures Account

4.4 Use Funds
  1. Scope of Use
Trial Funds can be used in futures trading, including copy trading.
Based on the voucher's business type, Trial Funds are categorized into Standard Futures Trial Funds and Perpetual Futures Trial Funds, and can only be used for the corresponding type of futures trading.
  2. Usage Instructions

After a Trial Fund is successfully redeemed, it can be used in the corresponding Futures Account. The specific rules are as follows:

    • Can be used as trading principal

Trial Funds can be used to open positions in futures trading.

    • Can offset part of losses and fees

When a realized cumulative loss occurs after you redeem the Trial Fund, the Trial Fund can offset position losses, Guaranteed Price fees, and fees charged when the funding fee is negative, based on the offset ratio.

If the cumulative result is still a profit, the Trial Fund is not used for offsetting.

    • Cannot offset trading fees

Trading fees must be paid using your own funds.

  • Multiple Trial Funds can be used at the same time

When an account holds multiple Trial Funds, the system applies offsets based on each Trial Fund's applicable account, offset ratio, available balance, validity period, and platform rules. Trial Funds with different offset ratios can coexist, and there is no need to recover older Trial Funds first.

  • Offset details are available

Offset records can be viewed in Transaction History. The status, balance, offset ratio, and validity period of each Trial Fund can be viewed in the Trial Fund details.

  • Transferring out or withdrawing funds may cause Trial Funds to become invalid

Withdrawing funds or transferring funds out of the current account may cause the remaining Trial Funds in the account to be removed. Pay attention to the on-screen prompts before proceeding.

  1. Example

Before using a Trial Fund, confirm that the Trial Fund voucher has been redeemed for Trial Fund balance and credited to the corresponding Futures Account. Vouchers that have not been redeemed are not directly used to offset losses or fees.

Trial Fund redeemed
      ↓
Futures trading loss occurs / fees eligible for offset
      ↓
Determine whether the cumulative result after redemption is a loss
      ↓
Still a profit overall: no offset applied
Cumulative result is a loss: calculated using the offset ratio
      ↓
Actual offset amount = the smaller of the offsettable amount and the Trial Fund balance

Example 1: Loss can be offset

Item Amount

1st trade profit → +100 USDT
2nd trade loss → -110 USDT
Cumulative realized PnL after redemption → -10 USDT
Trial Fund offset ratio → 50%
Offsettable amount → 10 × 50% = 5 USDT

Result: 5 USDT offset by the Trial Fund.

Example 2: Cumulative result is still a profit, no offset applied

Item Amount

1st trade profit → +100 USDT
2nd trade loss → -80 USDT
Cumulative realized PnL after redemption → +20 USDT
Trial Fund offset ratio → 50%
Offsettable amount → 0 USDT

Result: The cumulative result is still a profit, so the Trial Fund is not used for offsetting.

Example 3: Insufficient Trial Fund balance, offset based on available balance

Item Amount

Cumulative net loss after redemption → -100 USDT
Trial Fund offset ratio → 50%
Theoretical offsettable amount → 100 × 50% = 50 USDT
Remaining Trial Fund balance → 20 USDT
Actual offset amount → min(50, 20) = 20 USDT
Result: Up to 20 USDT is offset, and the remaining loss is covered by your own funds.

Example 4: Trading fees are not eligible for offsetting

Item Amount

Trading fee → -10 USDT
Guaranteed Price fee → -10 USDT
Position loss → -100 USDT
Trial Fund offset ratio → 30%
Offset result:
Item Amount

Trading fee → -10 USDT
Guaranteed Price fee → -10 USDT
Position loss → -100 USDT
Trial Fund offset ratio → 30%
Result: The trading fee is not offset using the Trial Fund. The Guaranteed Price fee and position loss are offset according to the rules.

Example 5: Multiple Trial Funds existing at the same time

Trial Fund B

Trial Fund C

Note:
Trial Funds with different offset ratios can exist at the same time, with no need to recover older Trial Funds first. The system applies offsets based on each Trial Fund's applicable account, offset ratio, available balance, validity period, and platform rules. The specific result is subject to the transaction history shown.

  1. Validity Period
Trial Funds have a validity period for use. See the Trial Fund details in [Futures Account] for the validity period. If not used within that period, they will expire.

4.5 Expiration and Recovery
  1. Recovery Upon Expiration
Trial Funds must be redeemed and used within the validity period; after the validity period they will expire and be recovered by the system.
When your Trial Funds expire, the system will recover them without affecting your position risk. The following examples illustrate this process:
Example 1: Suppose a position's initial margin is 210 USDT, including 60 USDT in Trial Funds. If your account has no other available funds when the Trial Funds expire:
  • The system will not recover the expired Trial Funds immediately. After the position is closed, the system will reassess whether recovery is necessary.
Example 2: Suppose a position's initial margin is 210 USDT, including 60 USDT in Trial Funds. If your account has sufficient available funds when the Trial Funds expire:
  • The system will recover the expired Trial Funds. To ensure the position risk remains unchanged and to avoid liquidation risk, an equivalent amount of funds from your account will be automatically used as position margin.
  1. Recovery Upon Transfer
Transferring out USDT funds will result in the removal of Trial Funds in the account. Transfers in other cryptocurrencies will not affect it. The system will alert users with a popup when they attempt to transfer.
Example 1: User A has 20 USDT Trial Funds in their Perpetual Futures Account. If User A transfers 0.1 USDT to Standard Futures Account or Spot Account from Perpetual Futures Account, the entire Trial Funds will be removed.

Example 2: A user has 20 USDT in Trial Funds in their Standard Futures Account. If the user transfers 0.1 ETH from the Standard Futures Account to the Fund Account, the 20 USDT Trial Funds in the Standard Futures Account will not be affected.
  1.   Recovery Upon Withdrawal
Withdrawal or internal transfer (to another BingX account) of any cryptocurrency will result in the removal of the Trial Fund in all accounts.
Example 1: A user has 10 USDT in Trial Funds in their Perpetual Futures Account and 5 USDT in Trial Funds in their Standard Futures Account. If the user internally transfers out 0.5 ETH, the Trial Funds in both the Perpetual Futures Account and the Standard Futures Account will be recovered.
  1.   Recovery Due to Risk Control
If Trial Funds are recovered by the risk control system due to malicious misuse or rule violations, they will become invalid.

V. Additional Notes
  1. If the removal of remaining Trial Funds will result in auto-deleveraging (forced liquidation) or insufficient maintenance margin for positions, you need to close your open positions before transfer or withdrawal.
  2. Trading volume generated by Trial Funds is not eligible for commission rebates on fees.
  3. Starting 2023-08-01, BingX Trial Funds cannot be transferred between different futures accounts.
  4. Starting 2024-12-17, the BingX Trial Fund offset rules were adjusted. For details, see Adjustments to Futures Trial Fund Offset Rules
