Information entered into this system is "shredded," or encrypted, before being sent to numerous remote sites. Unauthorized parties can access no information since it is encrypted, stored in a distributed manner, and secured against accidental or intentional destruction.

Safecoin's strength lies in the fact that it provides access to the MaidSafe infrastructure. Safecoin's notoriety may be waning, but because of the widespread adoption of MaidSafe technology, it will never go away entirely or become obscure to the digital currency market.
