Aeron aims to bring transparency to the aviation industry and its customers through its decentralized blockchain platform. The project was conceived in August 2016 to enhance aviation safety by storing and verifying essential data like flight log records, aircraft maintenance data, and pilot experience records on blockchain. The platform addresses the increasing number of air-related accidents caused by human errors, such as the use of fake documents by inexperienced pilots and the underreporting of flight hours by flight operators to reduce maintenance costs.

Aeron offers three innovative products to solve the underlying issues in the aviation industry. The Pilot App allows pilots to store their flight hours, while the Aerotrips.com Web Portal is a blockchain-powered global database of aviation services that can be used by passengers and flight school students. The Aviation Company App is a corporate application that enables companies to cross-check records provided by aircraft pilots, operators, and maintenance teams.

The platform aims to prevent fatal air accidents by putting flight data on the blockchain to remove any scope of distorted or forged data. The decentralized and immutable nature of blockchain ensures that flight operators or pilots cannot manipulate the recorded data. The ARNX token is the ERC20 token of the Aeron ecosystem, allocated to empower marketing activities and loyalty programs.

Aeron launched its first token sale in 2017, and in 2020, the platform swapped the older token with a new ARNX token. The maximum total supply of ARNX coins is 200,000,000.
