Crypto sentiment sinks to "extreme fear" as Fear & Greed Index hits 8 and liquidations reach $628M

Crypto sentiment slid back into "extreme fear", with the Fear & Greed Index at 8 and Bitcoin's gauge at 12. During the Asian session market sell-off, more than 104,157 traders were liquidated for a total of $628 million, including a $12 million BTC order on Binance. Search interest also climbed from around 170 to above 320, adding to expectations of elevated volatility this week.
