ExxonMobil and QatarEnergy sign Cyprus commerciality declaration for Glaucus and Pegasus gas fields
ExxonMobil and QatarEnergy said Cyprus’ Glaucus and Pegasus gas fields, with combined resources of about 7 Tcf, have been declared commercially viable. The partners plan to connect production to Egypt via a subsea pipeline tieback to the Damietta LNG export facilities and Port Said gas processing facilities for the domestic market. The move signals the Eastern Mediterranean’s gas developments are progressing into an execution phase following earlier commercialization milestones such as Aphrodite and Cronos.
