The change is designed to better match 24/7 crypto markets, with only a brief weekend maintenance break of at least two hours. CME also cited recent scale metrics for its crypto suite, including $62.87 billion in XRP futures notional volume over the past year.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent called on Congress to move rapidly on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, arguing the U.S. should become a global center for digital assets. The filing says Doe located wallets with no activity for at least five years, then used OP_RETURN notices and other outreach; 424 owners signaled on-chain that their funds were not abandoned while the remaining wallets did not respond.

On May 26, XRP spot ETFs logged a $1.55 million daily net inflow even as Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs posted net outflows of $105.19 million and $33.16 million. Total net inflows for U.S. XRP ETF products have moved past $1.4 billion to about $1.409 billion, with ETF net assets at $1.12 billion. CME Group said its XRP futures suite has reached nearly $63 billion in notional volume over its first year. The exchange’s data through May 15 shows $62.87 billion in notional volume, more than 1.3 million contracts traded, and an average daily volume of $238 million.
