Manchester United has reported an annual net loss of £43m, widening by £10m from the prior year, while total debt rose by £95m to £583m. The club said record revenue of £677.6m was supported by a £33.9m increase in broadcasting income, even as financial pressure persisted. It also attributed the loss largely to weaker broadcasting revenue and ticket sales linked to the absence of European competition.
