Humanity Protocol's H Token Crashes Nearly 90% After $32M Key Compromise

Humanity Protocol's H token sank almost 90% after a security incident exposed private keys tied to the project, enabling attackers to drain more than $30 million from at least 17 wallets. CoinGecko data show H sliding from $0.68 to an intraday low of $0.079 once the breach came to light. The token later rebounded to around $0.12 but was still down roughly 85% over the past 24 hours. Onchain analysts said the exploiter began selling H and swapping proceeds into ETH. Investigators also flagged the minting of 100 million H tokens on BNB Chain, adding about $11.4 million in new supply and stoking fears of further downside. Those concerns escalated after another 100 million H was minted. By that point, the attacker had realized about 18,510 ETH ($30.83 million) and 1,548 BNB ($924,000) from H sales, according to Lookonchain. The exploiter still controls roughly 111 million H, valued near $14 million, while onchain liquidity is close to depleted. Humanity Protocol said the breach stemmed from compromised private keys belonging to a member of the Humanity Foundation. Founder Terence Kwok said the team is working with external security specialists and exchange partners. Users were told not to interact with the protocol's bridge or any liquidity pools until further notice.
