Japan FSA flags KuCoin over unregistered services as outflows raise trust concerns
Japan's Financial Services Agency has listed KuCoin among unregistered businesses that received warning letters, citing online solicitation of OTC derivatives. Separate actions and restrictions in Hong Kong, Austria, and Dubai have added pressure, alongside a reported drop in exchange reserves from 14K BTC (2024) to 2100 BTC (early 2026) and stablecoin holdings from over $1.3B to $543M within a year.

BitMine Immersion Technologies said it unveiled its Ethereum staking platform MAVAN on Wednesday, after reporting 3,142,643 ETH staked as of Tuesday, 24 March. Pine Analytics flags Bittensor 'income desert' risk as TAO jumps from $145 to over $320
TAO, Bittensor's native token, has risen from its Q1 2026 low of $145 to above $320, supported by narratives around AI-crypto convergence and institutional interest via a Spot TAO ETF. Pine Analytics argues many Bittensor subnets are sustained mainly by token-emission subsidies rather than verifiable demand, warning that when emissions halve again in late 2026 or 2027 prices may need to rise, or miners and validators could exit. Even with the cautionary outlook, TAO sentiment was described as neutral after a 25% move in 24 hours and a nearly 130% rebound from February lows.

Scaramucci turns bullish on Polkadot as DOT supply is capped at 2.1B
Anthony Scaramucci, founder of venture firm SkiBridge, said Polkadot is "quietly rebuilding momentum", citing a recent SEC classification of DOT as a digital commodity and a tokenomics overhaul that caps supply at 2.1 billion. He also pointed to the 21Shares Spot DOT ETF, which has recorded just one inflow day of $544.5K since launch while the rest of March showed zero flows. Separately, Polkadot's usage has weakened, with weekly average active addresses falling from 16K to 5K over the past two years.

Strategy CEO: Morgan Stanley's MSBT could imply $160B Bitcoin ETF demand
Strategy CEO Phong Le said Morgan Stanley's planned spot Bitcoin ETF (MSBT) could attract outsized demand from the bank's wealth unit, citing a $160 billion estimate based on a 2% allocation model. He contrasted that figure with BlackRock's IBIT, which has $55 billion in AUM and $63 billion in cumulative net inflows. Morgan Stanley executives also argued crypto ETF adoption remains early and is still led by self-directed clients rather than advisor-managed accounts.

Wintermute CEO says Ethereum and Solana still lack a defensible moat as Hyperliquid leads fees
Wintermute CEO Evgeny Gaevoy argues that neither Ethereum nor Solana has built a durable competitive moat, despite Ethereum's $56 billion DeFi TVL versus Solana's $6.8 billion out of a $95.3 billion market total. He points to Hyperliquid's rise as evidence that newer venues can quickly capture activity, with Hyperliquid holding 45% of generated fee revenue while TRON has 20%, Solana 13%, BNB Chain 10%, and Ethereum 7%.
